Believe it or not, I have run a cafe with just 14-days of preparation! How? I could simply say “the Power of Connections & Strategic Scheduling of activities!”. Basically, if you are an OFW like me, let your family members or friends to this task for you before your scheduled vacation. Asked them to check atleast 3-potential locations, then let it be photographed and send it to you via email. If you think you can decide from the data provided to you then let them reserved the space already.

3.) Apply for DSL/SmartBro Connection

Please bear in mind that before you could acquire for DSL, you need first to have a telephone line, so this maybe a long process for you because the duration before you could acquire for connection would be: a.) Telephone Connection (3-days to 1-week); b.) DSL (3-weeks to 1-month+) c.) SmartBro (I am not sure, but they said that the process maybe bit faster because its a wireless connection)
4.) Renovate/Facelift your Shop

Your space might not look as good as have expected, so it maybe necessary for you to renovate, repair or facelift the shop the way you want to look-like for your costumer’s comfort. Check the condition of the shop, but not limited with: a.) Wall Paint; b.) Wall Divider; c.) Flooring; d.) Electrical Outlet & Lighting System; e.) Glass Wall/Door Frontage, f.) Ceiling Paint; g.) Aircon/Electric Fans
5.) Process your Government Permit

To save time, you may opt to have someone to the legwork for you. But anyway, these are the things you need to process in sequential order: a.) DTI (Register your Firm’s Name); b. Business Permit/Mayor’s Permit; c.) BIR Registration
6.) Ready the Computer Tables and Chairs

Computer Tables is necessary so that the set-up and cabling of the computers will be easier and manageable. Chairs may follow but not necessarily required during these set-up activities. The things you’ll need to finalized is the lay-out plan of your tables to avoid rerouting of cables from time to time.
7.) Others

Shall you need to be noticed by your walk-in costumers, then you need to have Signages and Tarpaulin also?
